"CANDY FOR KALI"
A Don Burnett / Adam Pfleghaar Flim
A Short Horrific Thriller
The Late Night Horror Film Festival Opening Night Screening of CANDY FOR KALI --- Wednesday, October 2 At 7:00PM
Synopsis
Kidnapped and thrust into a mysterious chamber, a young teenager named Bridgette desperately tries to figure out where she is and how to get out. The three inhabitants of this “Lord of the Flies” microcosm, encased in concrete walls, have been living under a set of commandments/rules with ties to a cultish Hindu religion. The kidnapper, (or maybe God-like figure) keeps a watchful eye on the teenagers, if any of the commandments/rules are broken, the one who’s been there the longest goes to “the rack” to be tortured. As clues about the environment are revealed, Bridgette devises an escape, culminating in the ultimate crescendo of horror – the final commandment. The four children are forced to make the most difficult decision imaginable… “The only way to become the spirit is the give up the flesh!”
